Course Outline: |
The protection of designs has become a critical consideration for many companies particularly after design rights rose to prominence after Apple’s legal battles with Samsung.
|
This class looks at protection of a design in Hong Kong with a focus on design rights considering: |
- Requirements needed to obtain a registered design right
- The nature of a design
- Protections afforded by a registered design
- Infringement and revocation of a design right
The class will also examine design rights regimes in other jurisdictions and consider actual case studies. |
