Lutz-Christian WOLFF is Wei Lun Professor of Law and Dean of Graduate School at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has been based in Hong Kong since 1999 after several years of studying and working in Shanghai, Taipei, Düsseldorf, Beijing, New York and Frankfurt. Professor WOLFF specializes in Chinese and international business law, private international law and comparative law. He is admitted as Solicitor (England & Wales) and as German attorney at Law (Rechtsanwalt). His most recent work includes: The Law of Cross-border Business Transactions - Concepts, Principles, Skills - 2nd ed. (2017); Mergers & Acquisitions in China - Law and Practice, 5th ed. This seminar will introduce the legal framework governing M&A transactions in mainland China with a focus on those rules which apply to foreign inbound investment projects conducted via the M&A mode.
